‘Tis the holiday season! Our favorite part about this time of year is gathering together with loved ones and celebrating long running traditions while making new memories that can  live on year after year. We spoke with the founders of Golde (Trinity Mouzon Wofford), Tea Drops (Sashee Chandran) and our very own Partake (Denise Woodard) about what the holiday season and traditions look like in their world.

What’s your favorite holiday, and why is it your favorite? 

Sashee: Thanksgiving because it gives me warm and cozy nostalgic vibes & it’s a time when I know I get to see my family! 

What holiday traditions did you have when you were a kid? Do you celebrate any of them today?

Sashee: Because my parents are immigrants from different countries and cultures (my Dad is from Sri Lanka and my Mom is from China), our holiday traditions looked a little different. In addition to having Turkey at the dining table on Thanksgiving, we also had various curries and Chinese shrimp stir frys. Still to this day, our Thanksgiving meals look and taste a bit different, but I wouldn't have it any other way. 

What’s your favorite holiday dish? 

Sashee: Mashed potatoes and my mom's Shrimp Curry dish!  

What are you thankful for this holiday season? 

Sashee: So much! My good health, good fortune, my family, the love that surrounds me, AND that I still get to do life work that I LOVE. 

What is your favorite holiday movie?

Sashee: “Home Alone” 

What is one thing you look forward to during the holiday season? 

Sashee: Time with my family!

What’s your favorite holiday and why is it your favorite? 

Trinity: I love Christmas time. It’s such a special opportunity to spend time with family and completely unplug through the New Year. 

What holiday traditions did you have when you were a kid? Do you celebrate any of them today?

Trinity: Cooking with my mom is something I’ve always treasured and still do today!

What’s your favorite holiday dish? 

Trinity: Sweet potato pie, no question!

What are you thankful for this holiday season? 

Trinity: There’s so much to be thankful for this year. But always: family, my health, the honor of another year building my business.

What is your favorite holiday movie?

Trinity: I just rewatched “The Holiday.” I’m a sucker for a Nancy Meyers tear-jerker. 

What is one thing you look forward to during the holiday season? 

Trinity: Unplugging from screens for a few days.

Denise: Thanksgiving - It's full of family, friends, and food, and is all about gratitude.

What holiday traditions have you started now that you’re a mom?

Denise: Some of the holiday traditions I've started with my daughter are adopting less fortunate families to purchase gifts for and a mother/daughter Nutcracker outing.

What’s your favorite holiday dish? 

Denise: Macaroni & Cheese, which I only seem to eat on Thanksgiving - and all the desserts! 

What are you thankful for this holiday season? 

Denise: My health, my family, my friends, my team  - and that I get to safely see them in person this year. 

What is your favorite holiday movie?

Denise: “The Santa Clause”

What is one thing you look forward to during the holiday season? 

Denise: Spending downtime with family and friends
