What has been the best part of your entrepreneurial journey?

Learning every single day! There's never a dull day running a company and even though it can be challenging, working with our team to come up with solutions has been incredibly rewarding.

How has working from home impacted the way you work and live? What does balance mean to you in this new normal?

With a husband and 3 kids in our house, respect, personal space and quality time have all become the keys to living and working under one roof. We have weekly "family meetings" to go over what we all need, what's working and what's not. I'm grateful that I'm traveling and driving less and getting to maximize my time through work calls and zooms, making every minute of my day more efficient.

How do you stay motivated and overcome challenges?

I stay motivated by moving around in our house for work. I have 3 rooms (my office, kitchen and living room) that I love working in to make my day feel more inspiring and productive.

What are some rituals you’ve adopted to practice self-care around the home?

I start my day by cleaning out my inbox at 6am and hiking at 6:30am with my dog. I listen to news or founder podcasts to get inspired and get to move my body as I know much of the day I will be in front of my computer. When I get home I have a big smoothie so by 8am I already feel like I've practiced a good amount of self-care. I'm lucky to live in LA because the sunshine alone brightens my mood as I'm working throughout my day taking breaks to play or eat with my kids.

Who is a female founder you admire and why?

Sara Blakely is a true pioneer. She created a product she needed and never took no for an answer. She's as authentic as they come and has paved the way for so many other female founders leading by her example.

What’s one thing in your home you can’t live without during quarantine?

My air fryer and blender. Making FAST, healthy food is the key to staying energized all day.

What advice do you have for female entrepreneurs or working women during this time?

Whenever you hit a wall and need help ask for it. Look to friends, family, loved ones and even your kids to remind the reason you're working so hard. If and when you need help don't be scared to ask for it and reach out to your network when you need it most.
